Biography

Grace Wheeler joined the Office of the General Counsel in June 2025 after being selected for the Polsinelli Healthcare Law Fellowship, a collaboration between the University of Kansas Health System, the University of Kansas Medical Center, and the law firm of Polsinelli. Grace is a 2025 graduate of Creighton University School of Law where she focused her studies in health law. While attending law school, she worked at Nebraska Methodist Health System and the Office of the Missouri State Public Defender.

In her Healthcare Law Fellow role, Grace works closely with University and Health System attorneys on legal matters including, but not limited to, healthcare transactions, research contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation. Grace has the unique opportunity to begin her career as a healthcare attorney while immersed in the full operations of an academic medical center and gets to work directly with leaders in her field. As the Polsinelli Healthcare Law Fellow, Grace will broaden her wholistic knowledge of healthcare law while continuing to pursue her areas of interest, including research ethics, health information privacy, regulatory compliance, and public health.
